The elections taking place on the 9th of October 2011 in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg will emphsise to the voters the importance of being involved in communuity life, their civic duties and democracy at the local level.
But for people living in a commune, there is also a need for local information on community life, photos, videos, information about local and national events, discussions and forums between citizens.... and especially the ability to conduct administrative tasks for housing, household and governmental bodies.
macommune.lu is the answer to your Commune, it enables the Commune's elected officials and staff to better meet its needs.
macommune.lu is a free service accessible via the Internet either from your PC at home, at work, while on vacation, or from your smartphone ("iPhone" and in the future, Android). But you can also get short SMS messages from your commune via sms2citizen to any mobile phone.

Register for a more personalized service
Thanks to the “TANcard” which is issued by your local commune, only you, the card holder, can log onto your account,the service checks your user ID, email and card details before allowing you to enter the page that allows you to conduct administrative procedures, check your account etc. If you have not received your TANcard, please sign up for one as soon as possible.
The identification-authentication will also be available with LuxTrust in the near future.
